Located in the northern area of Santa Teresa, El Rey Patricio Hotel brings you all different kind of waves, for all stages of experience, walking distance from our gates.

Just across the street from our hotel, rocks and reefs generate world class waves for the experienced surfers who look for big and intense surf.

A few minutes walk to Playa Hermosa will take you to a gentle beach break, ideal for mellow sessions or for those people starting the joyful and patient process of learning and getting experience.

Also a few minutes walk away from ''El Rey'', Santa Teresa Beach, considered one of the best beach breaks in the world, completes the rest of the options with anything from 2 foot waves to double overhead tubes, depending on the existent conditions.

Adding to all this and if you are lucky enough to meet with the right conditions, you may see some point breaks swelling along all these places. And finally, if you have transportation, you will be able to explore a lot more and find many other amazing waves all around the Nicoya Penninsula, such as Playa Carmen, Mar Azul and Sunset reefs, the latter located in Santa Teresa and Mal Pais, and also other breaks near the towns of Cabuya and Montezuma.

At El Rey Patricio we count with our own equipment and instructors, for those people who need to rent a surfboard, or want to take an initiation lesson, intermediate or even advanced.
